Abstract

This research aims at knowing the implementation of pedagogical ecocriticism to enhance environmental awareness after two years pandemic era shape the teaching and learning process passively. As a quantitative research design, this research tried to reveal the power of pedagogical ecocriticism towards environmental awareness. As a means of pre-experimental research, the researcher pointed a statistic parametric test with paired sample t-test to determine the significance of defectiveness between pedagogical ecocriticism and environmental awareness. SPSS for Windows (Evaluation Version 22) was used for the analysis. The instrument used was the modified instrument from Gerrad (2012) which cover Pollution, Apocalypse, Position, Pastoral, Future, Wilderness, Dwelling, Animist, Sacred Place, Mysticism, and the Earth. There were forty students from the Islamic University of Majapahit Mojokerto, half students from the English Department, and a half from the Indonesian Department. Based on statistical analysis, pearson product-moment was used to correlate the pre-test and post-test, and it shows that the correlation value was .423 and sig. Value was .063. Its means that the significant result; 063 was higher than 005, and (2-tailed) was .000 < 0,005 or .000 is smaller than 0,05. It can be concluded that hypothesis H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. There is significance result between pedagogical ecocriticism and environmental awareness at the data of pretest and posttest. The final result proved that Ecocriticism has a great significance to pay heed of pedagogical in environmental awareness in general.

Abstract

Management is a process of managing Islamic higher educaton institutions by taking into account the vison and mission and how to handle learning resources, methods and strategies as well as other matters relating to the achievement of educational goals effectively and effiecently. The purpose of this study is to solve the problems and challenges of Islamic higher education, especially at the level of management concepts of planning, organizing, and controlling or supervising. This research uses a qualitative research type with an analytical-descriptive approach, namely by analyzing related documents in accordance with the variables in the research or what is commonly called library research. Against the formulation and the goal of this research is to solve the problems and challanges of Islamic higher education especially at the concept level of Islamic education planning management concept is required; planning, organizing and controlling or supervising. Associated with madrasah concentration, it is necessary to have a clear concept of madrasah education planning, learning planning, the importance of lesson planning, improvement of learning quality, learning is designed with system approach, instructional design refers to how people learn, on individual students, on purpose, at ease of learning and involves learning variables toward the goal.

Abstract

This reaserch focuses on building the relationship between teachers and students in the film “Big Brother 2018” which shows the existence of liberation education. Using a descriptive-qualitative research method that provides details regarding how to build relationships between teachers and students in a medium as an inspiration to be applied in schools. A qualitative approach by supporting data on content analysis is expected to produce writings that media such as films can be good examples of teacher-student relationships. The relationship between teacher and student in the film shows freedom in teaching at school. The theory used in this research is the concept of Pauolo Freire in the liberation of education which offers an educational model of conscientization, facing problems and humanization. So that it can be obtained 1) conscientization education that teaches critical of reality 2) dealing with problems that make school students not only memorize the contents of books so that they pass with good grades on exams, 3) humanization which illustrates that teachers also learn from their students or non-formal subjects. subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the concept of multicultural education, multicultural education for conflict resolution, the implementation of multicultural education in educational units, and the decision of the curriculum of multicultural education. This study uses a qualitative description method with the nature of research literature research. As a result of this study, people respect each other more because the concept of multicultural education aims to provide solutions and minimize conflicts caused by multidimensional and heterogeneous social situations. Can understand that respect unity and justice diversity context. Multicultural education basically exists to deal with conflict phenomena in multicultural societies. Multicultural education should be applied as soon as possible and also focus on the values that exist in society, rather than focusing solely on the knowledge aspect. The multicultural education curriculum needs to actually present important content that explains the perspectives of many people, based on the assumption that there is no unified interpretation of historical truth, emphasizing different cultural perspectives. Advocates the principles of unity and unity and provides an understanding of cultural differences.

Abstract

The article scrutinised the nature of primary school atmosphere association to improve students' personalities in Kota Langsa. Kota Langsa has a mixed community background and is located on the eastern coast of Aceh province, which ratifies to perform Islamic Sharia area. The study informants were the people who shared daily interactions with the students, particularly in education performances and religious practices, i.e., the school teachers, parents, village prominent, and religious figures. The article employed a constant comparative method, which examined the conceptual finding of equivalences atmosphere associations. It grounded a theory to explain the phenomena of the nature and nurture of the Islamic primary school environment, when the parents' educational goals, teachers' objectives, and local figures' wisdom meet with the early process of students in their school days. The article proposed the result that confirmed the link between school atmosphere and students' personality development. Finally, the result confirmed the research objective, which described the socio-economic, facility, local figures, and teachers are the main elements to mediate developing students' personalities in Islamic primary school.

Abstract

since the Covid-19 outbreak all of the institutions in Indonesia are forced to use online learning. The sudden use of online learning causes many obstacles. There are many previous studies explored the obstacles of online learning. However, this present study aims to find out the benefits and obstacles from the students’ experiences during online learning in the pandemic Covid-19. This present study is a qualitative research design which is used thematic analysis. Since the students’ characteristics and other factors are different with the previous studies, this present studies have different findings. The benefits that students can get from online learning experiences are students become technology literate, the learning become accessible and flexible, increase positive attitudes, and more efficient. Nevertheless, the obstacles are technology illiterate thus, students have difficulties to use online learning platform, the course material is less understandable, laziness, lack of communication among the students, time management, less lecturer’s guide, a lot of assignments, and cheating during the examination.

Abstract

Pesantren has existed long before Indonesia's independence as an educational institution. Such existence is not independent of the cultural transformations that boarding schools undergo, particularly in management-related areas. The research seeks to identify the model of Pesantren's development in creating competitive advantages through the concept of culture (culture) organization. This paper employs qualitative research methods as well as surveying techniques. Based on complex diagnosis models, the study provides a brief overview of the characteristics of several pesantren in Southeast Aceh. The study's findings revealed that (1) the transformative model implemented by boarding schools in Southeast Aceh represents an integration of the main concepts, namely culture and organizational efficiency; (2) competence of leadership behaviour becomes a fundamental factor of organizational development mechanisms; and (3) professional HR contributions in creating competitive advantages. The development model proposed is a complex and holistic integration of the three concepts, with implications for future criticism. The study results also served as a solid basis for developing learner organizations. The study also provides an overview of how boarding school characteristics create competing advantages.

Abstract

The success of financial management during the Covid-19 pandemic is the role of school strategic management to prepare planning, organizing, controlling, and directly in school financial management. The research aims to examine educational institutions' financial management strategies in upper secondary education units. This type of research is field research with qualitative methods of case studies at MAN 2 Yogyakarta. The respondents of this study are the Principal, committee, and financial manager of the school. The data collection process is carried out by making observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis researchers use with the Miles and Huberman Models is condensation, data presentation, and inference/verification. The results of this study show that the strategy carried out by the Principal in managing school finances during the Covid-19 pandemic is an evaluation of budget, fund efficiency, and efficiency of program implementation through the stages of the financial management process. The strategy then, in the policy in the form of a 30% cut in SPP costs and the temporary elimination of visit transportation costs, waiver of payment time extension for parents whose businesses are affected by Covid-19, a 10% cut to school activity budget.

Abstract

The research objective is to determine the relationship between Digital Literacy assisted by Anyflip.com on the Learning Motivation of Class IV students at SDN Buran 03 Karanganyar. The method of collecting research data is quantitative. The total population is 132 students. Meanwhile, the study sample was 29 fourth-grade students with information obtained from data collection tools in questionnaires and documentation. The research data analysis was consulted with the prerequisite analysis test, then continued on the scale validity test using the product-moment correlation. The research concludes that the relationship between digital literacy assisted by Anyflip.com on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SDN Buran 3 Karanganyar is significant. Decision-making is based on the product-moment test, namely r arithmetic > r table 0.632 > 0.3009, so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This fact means that the use of digital literacy assisted by anyflip.com is not only digital information obtained by students, but students can explore, create, and be more active in online learning so that educational interactions occur between students and teachers.

Abstract

This research examines the role of AIESEC as an international organization in facilitating the implementation of SDGs through Global Volunteers in Suphanburi, Thailand. The SDGs' implementation affects getting involved and contributing actively to making the world a better place, especially regarding "Quality of Education." As a forum for facilitating education, it is necessary to consider the need for space for international organizations to provide various roles. As one of the significant organizations, AIESEC plays a role in providing real action to youth by contributing to the development of globalization. The research method uses qualitative research through library research from several journals, news, and data from AIESEC in this research. The result shows that the implementation of SDGs through Global Volunteers realizes and facilitates the development of education, especially in Suphanburi, which is a challenge, but can develop and will continue to evaluate how to create a globally supportive role. Therefore, AIESEC facilitates global values, activities, and program initiatives to support by implementing SDGs no 4, which is in the form of direct teaching materials to educate children in schools and communities to improve the quality of education and broaden horizons globally from English Day Teaching, Community Service, and also Global Village.
